The Greater Grand Crossing community is located on Chicago’s south side close to Hyde Park and the south lake shore.  The South Shore Cultural Center, the University of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry are some of the numerous attractions in the area. The Gary Comer Youth Center, which provides academic enrichment to students, is a major asset to the Grand Crossing neighborhood. The Dorchester Projects, which includes an Archive Library, Residency Space & Studio, Soul Food Kitchen and Artist Live/Work Space and Garden are all located around the corner from Dorchester Art + Housing Collaboration. The Rebuild Foundation, South Shore Fine Arts Academy and many local schools with participating arts programs are also located nearby.
